Hi! My name is Jessica Arocho, a third-year Psychological and Brain Science major and one of the Rapid Rehousing Outreach and Marketing Coordinators from Ontario, CA. I am very enthusiastic that my role allows me to promote and spread awareness regarding the housing resources that UCSB provides for the community. As a first-generation college student, assistive programs and organizations vastly helped me navigate the transition to a university that was hours away from where I grew up and establish my home away from home. Having recently experienced housing insecurity, I wanted to do my part in reducing at least one of the many pressures that college students endure for my school by joining the team Summer of 2023 in order to help others find their own version of home at UCSB.
