Hello! My name is Siouxzie Medina, I am from Baldwin Park and am a rising fifth year, majoring in Environmental Studies and Sociology. During my time at UCSB, I have been forchunate enough to to work as a Calfresh Advocate and Basic Needs Peer Advisor for about three years now.I am extremely grateful to be someone on campus who is helping students attain food sovereignty, and have felt that within this position I am making a difference on campus towards this effort. As someone who is a first generation student, I know that navigating the Calfresh application and the resources here on campus can be overwhelming and I hope to make it a more enjoyable experience for community members. :)
