Hello! My name is Mirna and I am a rising fourth year, majoring in Psychology and Brain Sciences with a Minor in Applied Psychology. I am from South Central, Los Angeles and have had the privelage of working as a CalFresh Advocate and Basic Needs Peer Advisor for a year. During my time as Peer Advisor, I have helped many peers and community members by connecting them to resources as well as applying to and naviagting CalFresh. It has been incredibly rewarding in every way possible. I am very excited to continue contributing to UCSB and being an advocate of basic needs resources!
