Associated Students Food Bank (Students)

AS Food Bank is an organization working to eliminate food insecurity at UCSB by providing UCSB students with an easily accessible food resource on campus. The Food Bank is dedicated to raising awareness on food issues, and they offer a variety of services/programs to help students that are in need.

MIRAMAR PANTRY (STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES)

The Miramar Food Pantry provides free healthy food to all qualified* UCSB students to ensure UCSB students have nutritious food to eat. Students can visit the pantry each day it is open.

Food Pantries throughout Santa Barbara County (Community)

Below are locations of food resources close to UCSB and SBCC campus. 

ISLA VISTA YOUTH PANTRY (COMMUNITY)

Isla Vista Youth Project (IVYP)'s food distribution program is currently operating at St. George Youth Center YMCA on 889 Camino Del Sur in Isla Vista on Tuesdays from 10 am to 12 pm. They are open to all low-income community members. Older adults who are vulnerable to COVID-19 can inquire about home delivery by calling Daisy Basulto at 1-805-699-1198 for North County or Jareli Jimenez at 1-805-698-1363 for South County. IVYP accepts food distributions at their warehouse locations in Goleta and Santa Maria and anyone who is interested in volunteering for the program can find information here: 

CATHOLIC CHARITIES MOBILE FOOD DISTRIBUTION (COMMUNITY)

Delivering over 2.1 million pounds of food to families most in need each year, Catholic Charities in partnership with the Santa Barbara County Foodbank has four mobile food distribution sites. Please visit the location website here to find out when the sites at Isla Vista, Lompac, Gaudalupe, New Cuyama and Sisquoc operate as registration is required.
